Welcome to my blog. My name is Sean Locke from Norwich and I am autistic. But this does not stop my passion for nature and wildlife. I am a volunteer for RSPB Strumpshaw Fen and I also help out at Mousehold Heath with surveys and I birdwatch whenever I can. Since 2011, i have been writing a wildlife diary filled with my adventures, drawings and photos. Now i have decided to go online to share with you all.

Aug 26th Mousehold Heath
Another warm sunny day, another butterfly survey at Mousehold Heath. This time it was on the other half of the site and it was more successful as we managed to tally 34 of these wonderful insects. There were 14 large whites, 1 comma, 4 holly blues, 1 common blue, 7 speckled woods, 1 meadow brown, 3 purple hairstreaks, 1 small copper and 1 gatekeeper. I also heard a bullfinch this afternoon, the first time I've heard one at Mousehold before.
