My Birthday Cake

Though my birthday was yesterday, I was still full of birthday cheer as today was the day of my party. First though, I went to Carrow Road to watch Norwich play brilliantly for a 0-0 draw against Manchester City at a lunchtime kick-off before heading to my parents house for the party.

My Birthday cupcakes!
My mum had made me a special cake, actually make that cakes, as she made me a display of cupcakes that form the number 30. Each one has flowers and animals made of icing sugar. She even made me a centrepiece swan and blackbird, too. They were amazing! They tasted very sweet and delicious! She never made cupcakes as a birthday cake before and it turned out to be a great idea.

Dan Fromings' amazing birthday card!
As well as these edible works of art, I recieved another wonderful masterpiece in the form of a card. My friend Dan Fromings, who took me to see my first badger last year, is a talented artist and he has created this wonderful watercolour painting of me with the wildlife. I wish to say thank you to him and I will have to find it room on my increasingly full walls amongst the rest of my wall collection. My 30th birthday has been one to remember!
