May 5th Norwich

Peregrine (via Hawk & Owl Trust's webcam)

Today was a hot day and the shorts were out. It was time to see how the peregrines were doing at Norwich Cathedral. Only the female was about when we arrived around lunchtime. She was busy sitting in the nest platform. However, she isn't sitting on eggs any more. Last Thursday, three of the four eggs have hatched with the fourth hatching on April 29th. I was not able to see them through the Hawk and Owl Trust's webcam on their tablet sadly.

After our short visit at the cathedral, we went to Intu Chapelfield shopping mall. We were not here for shopping, but for a nest box hunt. Throughout the mall were 15 giant nest boxes designed by celebrities and organizations. The event was in support of the RSPB and was a lot of fun. Here are the nest boxes that I liked best...
