Feb 12th Waterloo Park

Woodpigeon
Sunshine and boredom has brought me outside for a walk around another of my local parks. Though there was a slight nip in the air, it was a rather pleasant stroll at Waterloo park today. Plenty of dog walkers and children on their half-term holiday from school were making the most of the bright weather. The birds were busy singing and defending their territories from rivals. Others were in search of food, stripping and rummaging through the moss and ivy growing on the tree trunks. It felt as if spring has arrived early this year. Here's what I saw this morning...

Blackbird
Robin
Two Robins settling a dispute through subtle signals
Starling

Long-tailed Tit
Dunnock
Great Tit
Collard Dove
